Shalom Scrap Metal Services started in the year 1999. In the beginning a Ford Laser Tracer was used for transporting non-ferrous metals from working sites for stripping with only one employee employed.
In the year 2000, we started on a small scale buying and selling. A five year contract with Ongopolo Mine was signed in 2001, for collecting all surface scrap at Smelter Area and Upper Levels from 2003 and 2005 Shalom Services dismantle alot of small steel structures in the Mill, Smelter and other areas.  We also started buying Scrap Metal and Non-ferrous metals from Farmers and towns.
Shalom Services also recovered from scrap usable material to resell again. We also tackled Otjihase and Kombat mines for cleaning up the surface. 
In 2004 the Contract was renewed for five more years.
In the period 2006 to 2008 More Plants was dismantled in Smelter and Mill area like the Sinter Plant and Old Column Sell. A big job of Completely Dismantling of the Germanium Plant and full surface clean-up was done by Shalom Services, so also the dismantling of the Back Fill Plant in the Mill area. Shalom Services also started collecting scrap at old dump sites and sorting Light and Heavy material, Plastic, rubber ect.
During 2008 and 2009 Shalom Services also received a contract to paint about 70% of the Smelter Plant, and we rendered Excavating Services to Ongopolo and the Public. Shalom Services also started with Auctions last year.
Shalom has grown from strength to strength and is today a successful business.

Our Mission:  To recover valuable metals from unsightly industrial and consumer products from what would otherwise be pollutants and eyesores. All forms of both ferrous and non ferrous Scrap metals are collected and exported.
